PROJECT: 'Skypools', St Helens Child Family Centre

BRIEF: A child's love of rock pools is the starting point for this artwork. The work is composed of nine panels suspended above an outdoor play area. Each panel is routed with silhouettes of sea life found on the east coast of Tasmania. To establish an underwater feel, large scale photographic images are printed onto the underside of the panels and solid colours are painted onto the upper side. During the day, colour washes onto the soffit, dependent on light conditions.
