CLIENT: Walford Terraces
MATERIALS: Sandblasted concrete,
screen printing, & gilt
PHOTOGRAPHER: Jasmin Latona
PROJECT: This is a Public Art Interpretation project in collaboration with artist Peter Bataglene and writer Gabrielle Balon. We were commissioned to provide permanent interpretation on the site of the Department of Housing's new development, Walford Terraces in North Hobart. The site holds particular significance as it was the first Jewish Cemetery in Australia; and was home to notable post war architecture prior to the construction of this development.
